Welcome to The Noctua Nook

As an author and a voracious reader, I wanted an endeavor that encompassed all that I am: author, historian, reader, and lover of all things mythological. The Noctua Nook was born from this passion, creating a special space for books and book lovers, both in our Elmwood, Wisconsin store and on the go with our mobile bookstore trailer.

A more mythical experience is coming soon to the Elmwood location. We were fortunate to find a collection of Egyptian revival furniture, accessories, and items to offer for display.  This enhancement to the mythological section and experience will be open on Sundays starting October 4th, 2026. 

The person who would enjoy The Noctua Nook most would be a lover of all things mythical and magical. You might be a "goblin type" of author who likes shiny things and witty words, or someone who adores history and mythology. If you appreciate unique finds, a touch of magic, and a place to fuel your imagination, then you'll feel right at home here. Whoever you are, whatever your journey, you will find a welcome space in our little bookstore.
